Description

Spectacular Sedna carved in Antler. The face is exquisitely carved.  The natural lines and abstract feel of the antlers makes this a contemporary masterpiece.  Sedna is an important Inuit creation story of sea mammals.  Early Sedna sculptures depicted a woman on a seal body whereas contemporary versions are more mermaid-like.   Base has small chip at back  (not visible on display). Matching signature on both Antler and Base.
