Description

The Inuit have not made many pottery works of art.  This is a rare older vessel, oblong-shaped with a round opening on top.  Light brown with some glaze (drips evident).  Etched into the clay on both sides is two sperm whales facing each other with 3 triangles above that could represent the sails of a ship.  This is a very delicate piece.  Est. 1970 or earlier.
