Description

Ornate Wooden Colonial Spanish Stirrup (1600s to 1700s). This is a priceless Spanish/American artifact of historical significance, especially for those in Florida. The floral and bead designs on the stirrup point to its Spanish origin and the alligator bodies point to Florida. This utilitarian sculpture is a left-legged wood and iron stirrup that is well worn from military action.  It has a large crack that has been repaired. This piece is worthy of museum status.
