Description

Inuit sea otter sculptures are relatively uncommon. This is an exquisitely carved sculpture.  The sculptor is especially adept at capturing the muscles of the Otter.  The Otter is sitting on its hindquarters with its arms outstretched. The mostly primitive face is interesting in style and form.  Etching of whiskers on snout, as well as claws on hands and feet. Polished grey Arctic stone. Igloo Eskimo Art Sticker. 1973.
