Description

The Inuit did not have much experience hunting bearded seals as they only ranged throughout part of the Arctic.  They are very large in stature - three to four times a harp or harbour seal's size.  Due to their lack of experience with bearded seals there are few sculptures of them.  Beautiful Arctic serpentine polished green stone with brown veins. No base.  Probably 1970s. No signature or markings.

Dimensions: 3.5"/9cm x 9"/23cm x 7.5"/19cm

Weight: 3.5 lbs
