Description

This is a good example of work by C. Peltier – a farmer contemplating life or a problem while holding one of the suspenders of his coveralls. The lovable face is well carved especially the eyes and mouth/moustache. C. Peltier’s strength is in his fluid forms as evidenced by the bent knee and dropped shoulder.  Traditional Quebecois post-1960 base. Broken walking stick.   Quebec. Signed by C. Peltier.  Est. 1970s.

Dimensions: 12"/30cm x 3.5"/9cm x 2.75"/7cm
