Description
Sculptures of four card players are much rarer than those with two. This sculpture is also unique in that two elderly couples are presented. Like most of the Bourgault family, Lucien has master sculpting skills that can be seen in the quality of the faces, detailing on clothes and natural postures. His carving of hands is uneven. Carved from more than one piece of wood (cards and accessories).
