This is an intriguing piece of folk art. The closed eyes of the woman are extremely unusual and her posture in the chair is also quite different. The base is non-standard for St.-jean Port-Joli sculptures. This sculpture is likely one half of a bookend set. Polychromatic. Est. 1960s to 1970s.
